Michelle Gamble-Risley is a professional writer, marketing and public relations expert. She has over 20 years of experience in the communications field and has written for numerous publications.

She has a passion for life that she reignited after going through her own “Big Blank” in her late thirties. After spending a devastating year working for an intolerable boss, she literally overnight ditched her day job and started her own business. A year later, she explored the idea of writing a book and connected with Anne Marie Smith, a long-time friend who also had gone through her own experience with the “Big Blank.” The women joined forces and Second Bloom is the result of this amazing collaboration.

Michelle continues to enjoy every minute of her life. She owns a highly successful full-service marketing agency called MGR Consulting and only works with clients that she loves. She also launched Kaabrah Publishing with Anne Marie and they are in the process of acquiring new properties. In the meantime, she is promoting Second Bloom to a generation of women in need of drastic life change.

Michelle has been published in regional and national magazines, including Sacramento Magazine, Comstock’s, Engineering News Record, Quarterly, Access, T.H.E. Journal, Converge, California Computer News, Telecommunications Week, and Government Technology. She has also sold screenplays and her movie, Virtual Seduction, aired on Showtime.

Michelle lives in Fair Oaks, Calif., with her husband Russell and their two children Cole and Cambria.  She loves to travel and evangelize to other women a life that only a Second Bloom can create.
